We provide a warm, friendly home away from home for your children.
Rainbow Wood is a family-owned child care facility providing excellent care for babies and children up to the age of 5 years. Rainbow wood provides a safe, stimulating and warm environment for your children to learn and grow. We understand that each child is an individual with different abilities and strengths, we treat each child individually, listening to them and allowing them to reach their full potential. We give children the confidence to be themselves, to try new things and interact with peers. Rainbow Wood is fortunate enough to have access to the woodlands directly behind our nursery, which allows us to teach children how to cherish and respect the outdoors, following the Forest School Approach. We nature and allow children to grow into confident and independent individuals who in time, will be ready for the challenges that school will offer them.
Your Child’s Learning Journey
In order to support your child with their learning we will record observations of their progress in a number of different ways. Over time, these provide a comprehensive and unique record of your child’s learning from a very young age. Information gathered during this process helps us to plan for their next steps and forms part of your child’s portfolio which you will receive as a treasured keepsake as your child moves through their learning journey. If at anytime you have any questions about your Childs progress, feel free to speak to their teacher at any time and we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Meals and Snacks
We provide healthy nutritious melas and snack, which are all prepared fresh and onsite by our talented cook, using locally sourced, seasonal produce. Meals could include, Breakfast, snacks and dinner. Children will be offered healthy, fresh snacks at set times throughout the day and water will be offered freely. There is no extra charge for meals and is included in the daily rate.
Clothing
We have an optional uniform consisting of any colour polo shirt and purple sweatshirt embroidered with our logo. These are available from our next door neighbour, DMC Embroidery. Please let a member of staff know If you would like to purchase one.
We ask parents to name all items of clothing and to bring a spare change of clothes in case children get very wet or messy during play. If your child is in the process of toilet-training please bring numerous changes of clothes to allow the staff and setting to support this important stage of your child’s development.
